Taking on America! 🇺🇸

Taking on America! 🇺🇸

If you've been following our social media, you might have seen I spent the last 10 days traveling across three time zones and 7000 miles to share our story and see our products on shelves at Credo Beauty. We visited 11 stores in NYC, Boston, LA and San Fransisco and it was well and truly a dream come true.

Seeing something I created in my bedroom on a shelf in New York was unbelievable, as is the current jet lag situation... 😂

I learnt so much, the main thing being that the US wastes SO much food and it's almost ALWAYS in plastic. It actually become disheartening at one point, but it also reminded me of just why we built our brand. Change happens when individuals decide to do better, so our rescued food skincare can pop-up on shelves across the USA as the tiny brand we are, then maybe, just maybe we can start to spark change on a bigger scale.

Here's a play-by-play of what we saw, what we did and most importantly what we learned as we made our way across the USA.

New York City

We started our trip in NYC, a place I used to frequent when I worked for Charlotte Tilbury but I haven't been back to for over 10 years. It still has the crazy chaotic buzz of New York and either I've changed or the city has, but I literally couldn't wait to get out of there 😂 it's very overwhelming! The highlight has to be seeing our juicy products in stores in both NYC and Brooklyn, gurilla style marketing campaign posters across the city and hosting an event at the flagship Williamsburg Credo Store.

We ate our weight in Bagels and as a self-proclaimed 'sauna nut', I always like to find a new one when I travel and the ones in NYC are out of this world! If you go you've gotta check out these hot spots:

Boston

I hopped on the train to Boston to check out both of the Boston based Credo stores before heading off on a two day excursion to Salem, somewhere I've always wanted to visit. If you know about my other job, you'll know why. If you don't then you can check it out here...

The thing I love most about Credo is that all of their stores have their own unique personality and no two are alike. The Boston stores have a completely different vibe to the NYC stores and a completely different customer, all linked by the fact they want to use clean products that really work. The Credo Clean Standard is incredible. There are a lot of rules about ingredients and packaging that you have to adhere to (quite rightly so) to be taken on by Credo so it was great to meet customers that really understood our ethos and wanted to learn more.

If you're planning a trip to Salem, then head to my personal TikTok to see what I got up to.

Los Angeles

We arrived in LA for a whistle stop tour of the four Credo stores based all over the city. First up Abbot Kinney, in one our favourite parts by the sea of course. We popped in to chat to customers, share our products and of course, visit Erewon on the way home. I also made a point to drive through Malibu to see the devastation of the fires that hit at the start of the year. I don't think you can really understand it until you see it but it was eye opening and I think really important to see. It's all just gone - climate change and climate planning is real people!

We spent the next day bouncing between the events at stores in Silver Lake (it might be my fave store sorry NYC), Larchmont and finally ending on West 3rd. This is actually the first ever Credo store I visited many moons ago. When I was there, I said to myself 'my brand will be stocked here one day'  - a real full circle moment.

Then it was off to San Fran for 24 hours before heading home.

If you're in LA you check out these hot spots:

San Fransisco

Of course my flight was delayed on the way up to SF 😂 but I made it just in time to spend the day with the Credo team on Fillmore street. San Fran is such a fab city and super similar to Brighton so the customers totally got our sustainable skincare and what we're all about.

I had to visit a sauna before I went home so finishing the tour with a dip in the bay really was the perfect way to end our little adventure. What a trip!!

If you're in San Fran you check out these hot spots:

If you're heading to the US, please do go and check us out. Credo is the gold standard of clean beauty so to be stocked with them really is amazing.

Thank you so much for following us on our journey, it well and truly means the world! 🌎
