Description

Our super scrubby body scrub is made with a combo of smoothing, natural exfoliants and our signature blend of nutrient-rich rescued food ingredients that would have otherwise gone to waste.

We worked with a local Sussex-based company to rescue orange juice pulp and orange peel from the hospitality industry, and turn them into a vitamin C-rich formula that buffs away dry skin and brings it back to life.

Carrot, naturally rich in beta-carotene and antioxidants, works to brighten the skin, while Oat Oil helps to nourish and replenish the skin barrier. Epsom Salt, Sugar, and Bamboo make up our trio of gentle but effective exfoliators to leave your skin feeling softer, smoother and beautifully refreshed.

FAQ

Can I use it on my face too?

We designed our body polish to do the hard work on dry, rough skin, making it much better suited to your body vs your face thanks to its blend of sugar and sea salt. We’re working on a face-friendly version too, so keep your eyes and ear peeled for that coming soon.

Is it safe for sensitive and eczema prone skin?

If you have eczema or any other skin condition, we wouldn’t recommend exfoliating or polishing the skin. Instead, the focus should be on supporting and balancing the skin’s microbiome and keeping the skin nourished and moisturised - which is where our My Skin Feels Moisturised comes in. Its fermented formula helps to care for and support sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

How much should I apply, and when?

We like to use a generous handful of polish all over the body after bathing or sauna'ing at least once or twice a week.

What does it smell like?

Fresh, fruity and uplifting -  with subtle citrus notes thanks to a blend of natural mood-boosting essential oils. We will never use synthetic fragrances or perfumes in our products. Plus we only use the teeniest, tiniest amount so it's super safe for the most sensitive of skin.

Can my kids or teens use it?

For teens, yes! It’s a lovely introduction to body care and a gentle way to buff away dry skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and refreshed. With over 99% naturally derived ingredients, it’s a great addition to any teen’s body care routine.

For younger children, exfoliation simply isn’t necessary - their skin doesn’t need any exfoliating.

Can I use it during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

Yes - all our products are over 99% natural and free from harsh synthetics, parabens, SLS/SLES, silicones and endocrine disruptors, our face wash is a lovely gentle choice for pregnancy and breastfeeding. As always, we recommend running the full ingredient list past your GP or midwife if you have any concerns.

Are the My Skin Feels products vegan?

Yes, they are 100% vegan.

Are the My Skin Feels products organic?

Our products contain organic ingredients where they could be certified. A lot of our ingredients have come from organic sources, but because the rescued food process is still new to the market they have not yet been certified organic.

Our breakfast oats, orange juice and olive oil ingredients are from organic sources.

We are hoping to increase the amount of organic ingredients we use and to encourage the certifying body to recognise rescued food waste as organic where suitable.

Absolutely not. We are big animal lovers and we’re strongly against animal cruelty of any kind.
